  • Where is Panama?
    Panama is the country that is further south of Central America and has a border to the west with Costa Rica, to the east with Colombia, to the north the Caribbean coast and to the south the Pacific coast. The total area of ​​the territory is 78,046 square kilometers. The Panama Canal divides the country into the east and west regions. There are approximately 480 rivers in Panama and 1518 islands off the coast.
  • What is the weather like in Panama?
    Panama is located very close to the equator and enjoys a tropical climate with average temperatures between 80-90 degrees Fahrenheit. We have mainly two seasons: dry and wet. The dry season runs from January to April - the temperature is generally 80 to 85 degrees F, cooler at night, and it rarely rains during the entire day. From May to December the temperature is a bit cooler and during the afternoon there may be thunderstorms due to high humidity.
  • What Does The Packages Include?
    Your rate includes your room(s), meals, snacks, soft drinks, and laundry. For fishing guests, this charge also includes the boat with captain, mate, and fishing equipment. Not included in the all-inclusive package are the flights to and from Panama, travel or personal insurance, tips, bar bill, special charter flights, and any special excursions.
  • What is the local language?
    Spanish is the official language; however many Panamanians speak English.
  • What is the official currency?
    The US dollar is the currency.
  • Do I need a Passport or Visa?
    If you are coming from anywhere in America or Canada, you most likely will not need a visa, but you will need a passport that is valid for at least 6 months to land a tourist visa. Please be sure to check with the Panamian Embassy for complete details.
  • Will I need a Panamanian fishing license?
    No, we will provide all the necessary licenses required throughout your fishing expedition. Our boats are fully licensed and registered in Panama.
  • What do I need to Bring?
    We suggest you bring a rain jacket during the months from Mid May through to Mid-November, sunglasses (preferably polarized), sunscreen, camera and be ready to have an amazing time!
  • Do I need to purchase travel insurance?
    Hannibal Fishing recommends that clients purchase travel insurance to protect their investment and to cover unexpected weather or other delays, cancellations or interruptions of the trip due to medical matters of the client or their family. Clients must purchase travel insurance
